President Meloni in Tunis
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, visited Tunis today, together with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.
Upon her arrival, President Meloni was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tunisia, Najla Bouden, with whom she and the other two leaders went on to have a meeting. The three leaders later met with the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, after which they issued statements to the press.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, visited Tunis today, together with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.
The three leaders met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tunisia, Najla Bouden, and, later, with the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied. Following their meeting with President Saied, they issued statements to the press.

President Meloni’s statement on Italian Navy Day
The Government expresses its gratitude to the men and women of the Italian Navy who serve our homeland, professionally and generously performing duties that are crucial for the nation and guaranteeing the security and defence of the Mediterranean, from the Balearics to the Turkish Straits. The Navy carries out strategic activities and responds to challenges that are being made increasingly difficult by the current international context and Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
