President Meloni’s statement on the two new professions created in the field of education
The creation of the two new professions of ‘tutor’ and ‘guidance teacher’, as announced by Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara today, for which EUR 150 million will be earmarked in 2023 for training, confirms the Government’s commitment to place merit at the centre of its education policies and to bring out students’ talents.

President Meloni’s calls with President von der Leyen and Prime Minister Mitsotakis
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, is continuing with preparations for the European Council meeting of 23-24 March. Following her telephone conversation with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz yesterday, President Meloni spoke today with the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

Si è riunita oggi a Palazzo Chigi la Cabina di regia per le opere e gli interventi relativi ai Giochi olimpici e paralimpici invernali “Milano Cortina 2026”. La Cabina di regia costituisce la sede di confronto e raccordo politico, strategico e funzionale tra le amministrazioni statali, le Regioni, gli Enti locali, la Fondazione “Milano Cortina 2026”, la società Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2026 e gli altri soggetti coinvolti al fine di assicurare l’unitarietà, il coordinamento e la tempestività nella realizzazione delle opere e degli interventi.

Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics steering committee meeting
The steering committee for the works projects relating to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics met today at Palazzo Chigi. The steering committee is a forum for discussion and a political, strategic and functional connection between government administrations, regional and local authorities, the ‘Milano Cortina 2026’ Foundation, the company ‘Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2026’ and the other players involved, and its purpose is to ensure a united approach, coordination and a timely implementation of works projects and measures.

Riunione della cabina di regia sulla crisi idrica a Palazzo Chigi
Cabina di regia per accelerare e coordinare la pianificazione degli interventi infrastrutturali di medio e lungo periodo e, nel breve periodo, un commissario nazionale fino al 31 dicembre 2023, con un incarico rinnovabile e con un perimetro molto circostanziato di competenze. È quanto deciso al termine della cabina di regia sulla crisi idrica convocata oggi a Palazzo Chigi e presieduta dal Vicepresidente del Consiglio e Ministro Salvini.

Water crisis steering committee meeting held at Palazzo Chigi
A steering committee meeting on the water crisis was held today at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini. During the meeting, it was decided to speed up and coordinate the planning of medium and long-term infrastructure measures and, in the short term, to appoint a national commissioner up until 31 December 2023, who will have a renewable mandate and a very specific scope of responsibilities.
