What a great day you have given us. We are delighted, and proud. We are convinced that days such as these must be celebrated, because the state is present, it fights, and it wins. However, if it weren’t for your dedication and your daily, silent work, which citizens are unaware of in their day-to-day lives, these results would not be possible.

On behalf of the Government and Italy, I wish to thank you. I think we always remember the victims, the heroes who have lost their lives as a result of organised crime, but we perhaps don’t pay the same attention to remembering those who devote their entire lives to achieving these results. I also believe our presence here today is simply to say thank you, on behalf of the Government, for this incredible day. Thanks to all the people you represent and who are not here with us, who have worked with you to achieve this historic goal.
