The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, at Palazzo Chigi today.
Their meeting focused on the current issues on the Atlantic Alliance’s agenda in the context of preparing for the NATO Summit to be held in Washington in July.
In particular, President Meloni reiterated Italy’s expectation for concrete decisions to be taken in Washington to address the challenges being faced by the southern flank, in line with the comprehensive approach to Euro-Atlantic security provided for by NATO’s Strategic Concept.
