The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the President of the Republic of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, at Palazzo Chigi today.
The meeting focused on the important economic and scientific ties between Italy and Singapore, the increase in investments and the joint action by the two nations to safeguard peace, security and the rules-based international order.
The two leaders discussed the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in key sectors such as artificial intelligence and renewable energy, and had an exchange of views on the major geopolitical crises, including the conflict in Ukraine and the situation in Gaza.
