With a Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (‘DPCM’) signed by President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, the deputy director of the Internal Information and Security Agency (‘Agenzia Informazioni e Sicurezza Interna’, ‘AISI’), Giuseppe Del Deo, has been appointed deputy director of the Security Intelligence Department (‘Dipartimento delle informazioni per la sicurezza’, ‘DIS’).
The current acting deputy chief of the Italian State Police, Prefect Vittorio Rizzi, is to be appointed as the new deputy director of AISI.
Both decrees will be effective as of 2 September.
