President Meloni attends Ukraine reconstruction event via video link
At the invitation of the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, participated via video link in today’s event dedicated to the economic recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, attended by President Volodymyr Zelensky, the other G7 nations, the leaders of the European Union and numerous international partners. On this occasion, the Group of Seven adopted a declaration coordinated by the Italian Presidency, which is also open to the other States that participated in the event to join.

In the margins of the high-level week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the Special Envoy for Climate Change and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Al Jaber. The meeting focused on opportunities for investment and economic and technological collaboration between Italy and the United Arab Emirates, with particular regard to the renewables sector and interconnection projects. The meeting also provided an opportunity to further discuss possible joint initiatives in Africa, as part of the Mattei Plan and the Rome Process on migration and development, with a focus on renewable energy, also by involving the respective private sectors active on the African continent.
