President of the Council of Ministers Meloni addresses Parliament on the Government programme
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, addressed the Chamber of Deputies yesterday on the Government programme and later responded to the points raised during the general debate.
After delivering the text of her address to the Senate yesterday, President Meloni today responded to the points raised by the Senate during the general debate.

Telephone conversation between the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, and US President Joe Biden. President Meloni thanked President Biden for his congratulations and underscored the deep friendship that binds Italy and the United States of America. Meloni emphasised the importance of the transatlantic partnership, especially in light of the historic challenges Western democracies are facing, such as the war in Ukraine and the energy and food crisis.

Il Presidente Meloni ha ringraziato il Presidente Biden per le congratulazioni e ha ribadito la profonda amicizia che lega Italia e Usa. Meloni ha sottolineato l'importanza della partnership transatlantica, soprattutto alla luce delle storiche sfide che le democrazie occidentali stanno affrontando, come la guerra in Ucraina e la crisi energetica e alimentare.

President of the Council of Ministers Meloni meets with President Macron in Rome
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial and fruitful meeting with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, this evening, which lasted for more than one hour. Although it was an informal meeting, the two leaders discussed all the main European issues: the need for rapid and common responses to high energy prices, support for Ukraine, the difficult economic situation and the management of migration flows.
President Meloni and President Macron agreed on the willingness to continue cooperation on major common challenges at European level, while respecting each other’s national interests.

Il Presidente Meloni incontra a Roma il Presidente Macron
Cordiale e proficuo confronto, di oltre un'ora, tra il Presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni e il Presidente della Repubblica francese Emmanuel Macron. Nel corso del colloquio, seppur informale, sono stati discussi tutti i principali dossier europei: la necessità di dare risposte veloci e comuni sul caro energia, il sostegno all’Ucraina, la difficile congiuntura economica, la gestione dei flussi migratori.
I Presidenti Meloni e Macron hanno convenuto sulla volontà di proseguire con una collaborazione sulle grandi sfide comuni a livello europeo e nel rispetto dei reciproci interessi nazionali.

Inauguration ceremony of Giorgia Meloni’s Government at Palazzo Chigi
After the new Government was sworn in by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, at the Quirinale Palace yesterday, the traditional ‘handover ceremony’ was held today at Palazzo Chigi, between the outgoing President of the Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi, and the newly appointed President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni. Following the ceremony, the first Council of Ministers meeting was held.
