36 Libyan children with serious oncological conditions to be transferred to Italy: first patient arrives in Rome
The first of 36 Libyan children with serious oncological conditions who will be moved to Italy for emergency treatment will be arriving in Rome later today, accompanied by his mother. The boy has a serious form of leukaemia and needs an immediate bone marrow transplant.

President Meloni’s telephone conversation with the King of Jordan
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with King Abdullah II of Jordan. President Meloni expressed her deep concern for the growing tensions in the Middle East, and thanked King Abdullah for his leadership in the tireless pursuit of sustainable peace, agreeing with him on the absolute need to avoid the conflict spreading to the rest of the region.

Arriverà oggi a Roma, accompagnato dalla madre, il primo dei trentasei bambini libici affetti da gravi patologie oncologiche che saranno trasferiti in Italia per ricevere cure d'urgenza. Il bambino ha una grave leucemia e necessità di un trapianto immediato di midollo osseo.

Nell’esprimere profonda preoccupazione per le crescenti tensioni in Medio Oriente, il Presidente Meloni ha ringraziato Re Abdallah per la sua leadership nell’instancabile ricerca di una pace sostenibile condividendo con l’interlocutore l’assoluta necessità di evitare una regionalizzazione del conflitto.

European Commission pays Italy fifth NRRP instalment
The European Commission has today paid Italy the fifth instalment of its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), worth EUR 11 billion. The payment follows the Commission’s positive assessment, formally adopted on 2 July, of Italy’s fulfilment of 53 milestones and targets related to the fifth instalment of its NRRP.

PNRR, la Commissione europea ha versato oggi all’Italia la quinta rata
La Commissione europea ha versato oggi all’Italia la quinta rata del PNRR pari a 11 miliardi di euro. Il pagamento segue la valutazione positiva della Commissione, adottata formalmente lo scorso 2 luglio, connessa al conseguimento di 53 traguardi e obiettivi della quinta rata del PNRR italiano. Con l’incasso della quinta rata l’Italia si conferma lo Stato membro Ue che ha ricevuto l’ammontare maggiore di finanziamento, pari a 113,5 miliardi di euro, corrispondente al 58,4% delle risorse complessive del Piano.
