The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended this morning’s ceremony to celebrate the ‘Research Days’ initiative. The ceremony was held at the Quirinale Palace in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
President Meloni underlined the essential role played by the Atlantic Alliance in guaranteeing the security and protecting the common values that characterize our western identity. She reaffirmed Italy’s full support for Ukraine against the Russian aggression and the importance, with a global approach, of strengthening NATO’s commitment in countering the different kinds of threats originating from all strategic directions, including the challenges stemming from the South. At the end of the call, President Meloni expressed her wish to meet soon, in person, with Secretary General Stoltenberg.

Sabato 29 ottobre, alle ore 11.30, il Presidente Meloni depone una corona d'alloro alla Tomba del Milite Ignoto presso l’Altare della Patria.

Colloquio telefonico tra il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, e il Segretario Generale della NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. Il Presidente Meloni ha ribadito che l’Alleanza Atlantica è indispensabile per difendere la sicurezza e i valori comuni che caratterizzano l’identità occidentale. Meloni ha riaffermato il pieno sostegno all’Ucraina contro l’aggressione russa e l’importanza, nell’ottica di un approccio globale, di rafforzare l’impegno della NATO nel contrasto alle minacce di diversa natura provenienti da tutte le direzioni strategiche, incluse le sfide del Sud.
