Governo, Mantovano: solidarietà e sussidiarietà principi che muovono azione esecutivo Meloni
"Solidarietà e sussidiarietà sono i principi che muovono l'azione del Governo presieduto da Giorgia Meloni e che animano i provvedimenti assunti finora, a cominciare dalla legge di bilancio. Tra i segnali più significativi c'è sicuramente quello che riguarda il luogo nel quale solidarietà e sussidiarietà si incrociano: la famiglia. Nei giorni scorsi il quotidiano Il Sole24Ore ha quantificato l’entità della manovra per la famiglia in circa 4 miliardi di euro. Si può fare di più, soprattutto per invertire la rotta del declino demografico? Certamente, ma queste misure segnano la direzione di marcia di questo Esecutivo. Questa manovra non corrisponde, infatti, alla completa attuazione del programma di Governo ma è l’avvio della sua applicazione in una prospettiva di legislatura".

President Meloni’s statement on Mohsen Shekari’s death sentence
The Italian Government is indignant at the death sentence of Mohsen Shekari, a young man who had joined the protests for freedom in Iran. The international community must not be indifferent to this unacceptable repression by the Iranian authorities, which will not be able to stop the demand for life and freedom coming from Iranian women and young people.

President Meloni’s statement on interconnection infrastructure between Italy and Tunisia
The European Commission’s green light for EUR 307 million in co-funding for interconnection infrastructure between Italy and Tunisia is a great success for Italy.
It is a historic day, with the European Union giving the go-ahead for a project involving a Member State with a third country: a 200km undersea power line. The project will be carried out by Italian electricity grid operator TERNA and its Tunisian counterpart STEG and will create a new energy corridor between Africa and Europe, supporting energy supply security and an increase in energy production from renewable sources. Becoming a new energy hub for the entire European continent is part of Italy’s destiny, and part of our mission is to enhance cooperation with Africa in order to bring investment and development.

Il Sottosegretario Mantovano, su incarico del Presidente Meloni, e i Ministri alla Salute Schillaci, al Welfare Calderone, alla Famiglia e Natalità Roccella, nonché il Vice Ministro alle politiche sociali Bellucci, hanno incontrato nel pomeriggio una delegazione del network di oltre 90 associazioni che da tre anni anima la Pubblica Agenda “Ditelo sui tetti (Mt 10,27)”.

Nominato il Comitato nazionale per la bioetica
“Esprimo profonda soddisfazione per la costituzione del Comitato Nazionale di Bioetica”, commenta il Presidente Meloni. “Nella nomina di questo importante organismo si è tenuto conto dei criteri di pluralismo ideale e professionale, e dell’inclusione di un’ampia varietà territoriale, di esperienze e provenienze. Nel CNB sono stati assicurati la prevista rotazione dei membri, l’equilibrio di genere e le rappresentanze delle aree medica, filosofica, giuridica, delle competenze biotecnologiche e religiose. Formulo al Comitato i migliori auguri di buon lavoro”.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended today’s summit between EU and Western Balkan leaders, held in Tirana (Albania). In the margins of the summit, she had meetings with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. At the end of the summit, President Meloni addressed journalists at a doorstep.
