President Meloni meets with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, together with the Minister for Sport, Andrea Abodi, met today with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, at Palazzo Chigi. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), Giovanni Malagò, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, Andrea Varnier.

IOC President Bach is in Italy to attend meetings and to visit Olympic facilities. During today’s meeting with the President of the Council of Ministers, IOC President Bach highlighted the progress made towards completion of the Olympic village and sports facilities. National efforts must now continue in preparation for the biggest sporting event to be held in Italy in the coming years, with everyone’s contribution.
