The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, chaired a meeting at Palazzo Chigi today with Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano and heads of the intelligence service.
The meeting was held to assess the situation in the Gaza Strip and in Israel, repercussions and developments in the Middle East region and the consequent impacts in terms of the risk of terrorism, also in light of the recent incidents in France and Belgium.
In this regard, the Government is examining proposals to be presented at the next European Council meeting.
