The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, at the end of the working sessions on the last day of the NATO Summit in Washington.
The meeting focused on developments in the ongoing conflict, starting with the serious consequences of Russia’s bombing of the children’s hospital in Kyiv.
The two leaders went on to discuss the results of the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting and Switzerland peace summit, together with the subsequent follow-up actions.
Lastly, President Meloni and President Zelensky shared preliminary thoughts on the future conference for Ukraine’s reconstruction, to be hosted by Italy in June next year.
