The steering committee for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) met at Palazzo Chigi today. The purpose of the meeting, called and chaired by Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP Raffaele Fitto and attended by the Ministers and Undersecretaries involved, was to verify achievement of the 52 milestones and targets linked to the fifth instalment of Italy’s new plan.

The purpose of the meeting, called and chaired by Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP Raffaele Fitto and attended by the Ministers and Undersecretaries involved, was to verify achievement of the 52 milestones and targets linked to the fifth instalment of Italy’s new plan, which was approved by the European Council on 8 December.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, considers it important that the 27 EU Member States have found a common-sense compromise for political agreement on the new Stability and Growth Pact. Despite Member States’ very different starting positions and needs, the new Pact is an improvement on past conditions for Italy. Less strict and more realistic rules than the ones currently in force, avoiding the risk of automatically returning to the previous parameters, which would not have been sustainable for many Member States. 

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, has sent a message to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, expressing deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the shooting in Prague and sympathy for those injured and the entire population of the Czech Republic. President Meloni reiterates her strongest condemnation of all forms of violence, fanaticism and terrorism, stressing that Europe has a duty to react and strengthen all tools that can help ensure maximum security for citizens.

Nella seduta odierna, il Comitato interministeriale per la programmazione economica e lo sviluppo sostenibile (CIPESS), ha approvato la proposta di riprogrammazione del POC (Programma Operativo Complementare) al PON (Programma Operativo Nazionale) “Cultura e Sviluppo” nell’ambito della parte del Fondo Europeo di Sviluppo Regionale di competenza del Ministero della cultura, approvato con delibera del CIPE n. 45 del 2016, trasmessa dal Ministro per gli affari europei, il Sud, le Politiche di coesione e il PNRR.

Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha inviato un messaggio al Primo Ministro della Repubblica Ceca, Petr Fiala, in cui esprime il più sentito cordoglio alle famiglie delle vittime della sparatoria avvenuta a Praga, la vicinanza ai feriti e a tutta la popolazione della Repubblica Ceca. Il Presidente Meloni ribadisce la più ferma condanna di ogni forma di violenza, fanatismo e terrorismo, evidenziando che l’Europa ha il dovere di reagire e rafforzare ogni strumento utile a garantire la massima sicurezza dei cittadini.
