The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with representatives of trade union organisations at Palazzo Chigi today. Representing the trade unions, the meeting was attended by Maurizio Landini (Cgil), Luigi Sbarra (Cisl), Pierpaolo Bombardieri (Uil) and Paolo Capone (Ugl). The meeting was also attended by Minister of Labour and Social Policies Marina Elvira Calderone, Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti and Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano.

A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (‘NRRP’) was held today, in the presence of the President of the Council of Ministers.The President underlined the key role and the functions of the steering committee, which monitors progress in implementing the NRRP’s objectives and promptly identifies technical and political solutions to overcome any issues that may arise during implementation.

COP27 World Leaders Summit
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended the COP27 summit in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) on 6 and 7 November. After participating in the ‘Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit’ opening ceremony and round table on ‘Just Transition’, President Meloni delivered a speech at the Plenary Session.
