President Meloni’s telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. President Meloni reiterated that it is unacceptable for UNIFIL to have been attacked by Israeli armed forces, recalling that the mission works on the basis of a Security Council mandate to help with regional stability. She stressed that the safety of UNIFIL personnel must absolutely be guaranteed at all times.

Decree signed for Emilia-Romagna SLZ. President Meloni: “Significant development opportunities for local businesses”
A Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers has been signed establishing the Emilia-Romagna ‘Simplified Logistics Zone’ (‘SLZ’), following the preliminary work carried out by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto. “By signing this decree – stated President Meloni – we are guaranteeing new development opportunities for businesses in the Emilia-Romagna Region, supporting strategic investments, as we also stated in our Government programme".

Med9 Summit: President Meloni meets with King Abdullah II of Jordan
In the margins of today’s Med9 Summit in Paphos, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with King Abdullah II of Jordan. As well as discussing how to further strengthen the already excellent bilateral relations, trade volumes and investments, the meeting focused on the joint work to provide humanitarian support to the people worst affected by the Middle East crisis, and in particular refugees.

Med9 Summit: Italy-Jordan-Cyprus-European Commission quadrilateral meeting
In the margins of today’s Med9 Summit in Paphos, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, organised a quadrilateral meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to discuss the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan and other states in the region. This issue has become even more pressing in light of the most recent developments in the Middle East crisis.

President Meloni meets with President Zelensky of Ukraine
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, at Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome this evening. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the situation on the ground and Ukraine’s most immediate military, financial and humanitarian needs as well as the forthcoming diplomatic initiatives and the pathway to bring an end to the conflict.

Meeting with United States Secretary of Commerce
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Secretary of Commerce of the United States of America, Gina Raimondo, at Palazzo Chigi today. At the start of the meeting, President Meloni expressed the solidarity of the people and Government of Italy with the citizens of the south of the United States who have been severely affected by Hurricane Milton.

UNIFIL mission: President Meloni’s telephone conversation with General Messina
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation this afternoon with UNIFIL’s West Sector Commander, General Messina, who provided her with an update on the mission and on the situation of the Italian contingent serving in Lebanon, after the headquarters and two Italian bases positioned at outposts came under fire from the Israeli army.
