Conferenza stampa sugli esiti della riunione CIPESS
Il Ministro dell'economia e delle finanze, Giancarlo Giorgetti, il Ministro della salute, Orazio Schillaci, e il Sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio, Alessandro Morelli, hanno tenuto una conferenza stampa sugli esiti della riunione del Comitato interministeriale per la programmazione economica e lo sviluppo sostenibile (CIPESS).

President Meloni’s statement on the work of Italian firefighters in Türkiye
“At present, based on the information available, the USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) teams of Italian firefighters in Türkiye have managed to save two young people in two separate rescue operations in Antioch, and are working to save others. I wish to send encouragement and heartfelt thanks to our altruistic compatriots who are bringing real help to the people affected by this apocalyptic earthquake, with their specific expertise in urban search and rescue operations”.

President Meloni in Milan
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, was in Milan today, where she met with the Metropolitan City’s Mayor, Giuseppe Sala, and heads of the public security forces. Following the meeting, which was held at the city’s Prefecture, President Meloni addressed journalists at a doorstep.

President Meloni’s call with President Sánchez
Following yesterday’s calls ahead of the special European Council meeting on 9-10 February, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez. The exchange of views focused on comprehensive European support for Ukraine, EU solutions to support the competitiveness of enterprises and finally having European management of migration flows, centred on the external dimension and border control.

Dichiarazione del Sottosegretario Giovanbattista Fazzolari
L’articolo apparso oggi sul quotidiano La Stampa nel quale si sostiene che io vorrei “insegnare a sparare nelle scuole” è ridicolo e infondato. La chiacchierata tra me e il generale Federici, consigliere militare del Presidente Meloni, che il giornalista de La Stampa crede di aver carpito come uno scoop verteva su tutt’altro. La necessità di fornire maggiori risorse per l’addestramento di Forze Armate e Forze di Polizia e oltre a ciò l’ipotesi di prevedere un canale privilegiato di assunzione in questi Corpi dello Stato per gli atleti di discipline sportive reputate attinenti, anche se non olimpiche, quali paracadutismo, alpinismo e discipline di tiro. Due misure alle quali lavoreremo al più presto.

Riunione della Cabina di Regia del PNRR
Si è tenuta oggi la Cabina di Regia del PNRR per avviare un confronto sul nuovo capitolo da inserire nel PNRR relativo al RepowerEU, il Piano europeo per fronteggiare le difficoltà del mercato energetico globale causate dalla guerra in Ucraina. La riunione si è svolta alla presenza del Presidente Giorgia Meloni, del Ministro per il Pnrr, le Politiche di Coesione e il Sud, Raffaele Fitto e tutti i Ministri competenti. Hanno partecipato gli amministratori delegati dei principali operatori del settore energetico ed elettrico nazionale Enel, Eni, Snam e Terna.

NRRP Steering Committee Meeting
A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (‘NRRP’) was held today to begin discussions on the new chapter to be included in the NRRP relating to REPowerEU, the European plan to address the global energy market difficulties caused by the war in Ukraine. The meeting was held in the presence of the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto, and all other relevant ministers. The managing directors of Enel, Eni, Snam and Terna, Italy’s main energy and electricity sector operators, also attended the meeting.
