Riunione della Cabina di regia del PNRR
Si è tenuta oggi la riunione della Cabina di Regia del PNRR, alla presenza del Presidente Giorgia Meloni, del Ministro per il Pnrr, le Politiche di Coesione e il Sud, Raffaele Fitto e tutti i Ministri competenti. Hanno partecipato gli amministratori delegati dei principali operatori del settore energetico ed elettrico nazionale Enel, Eni, Snam e Terna.

President Meloni meets with Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, at Palazzo Chigi today. Following their meeting, bilateral agreements between Italy and Ethiopia were signed and the two leaders issued statements to the press.

Meeting held at Palazzo Chigi on global cyber attack
With regard to the cyberattack that has occurred worldwide, Undersecretary of State Alfredo Mantovano, delegated authority for cybersecurity, coordinated a meeting at Palazzo Chigi this morning with Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency (‘ACN’) Roberto Baldoni and Director General of the Security Intelligence Department (‘DIS’) Elisabetta Belloni to verify that, despite the seriousness of the incident, in Italy no institutions or leading companies operating in sectors of key importance for national security have been affected.
An initial assessment carried out by the ACN together with the Postal and Communications Police has not revealed any evidence of an attack by a hostile state or similar; it is instead likely to be an act by cybercriminals demanding payment of a ‘ransom’.

Attacco informatico, riunione a Palazzo Chigi
In merito all’attacco hacker verificatosi su scala mondiale, la riunione tenuta stamane a Palazzo Chigi, coordinata dal Sottosegretario con la delega alla Cybersecurity Alfredo Mantovano, con l’ing. Roberto Baldoni e l’amb. Elisabetta Belloni, è servita a verificare che, pur nella gravità dell’accaduto, in Italia nessuna Istituzione o azienda primaria che opera in settori critici per la sicurezza nazionale è stata colpita. Nel corso delle prime attività ricognitive compiute da ACN-Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale, unitamente alla Polizia Postale, non sono emerse evidenze che riconducano ad aggressione da parte di un soggetto statale o assimilabile a uno Stato ostile; è invece probabile l’azione di criminali informatici, che richiedono il pagamento di un ‘riscatto’.

European Council meeting on 9-10 February: President Meloni’s calls with President Macron, Prime Minister Rutte, Federal Chancellor Nehammer and Prime Minister Mitsotakis
Following her meetings in Stockholm and Berlin on 3 February, President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni had a series of telephone conversations today, with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, with Austrian Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer and with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, ahead of the special European Council meeting to be held on 9-10 February. The exchanges of views focused on the priority of a concrete sign from the European Council on full and comprehensive support for Ukraine, and on EU solutions to support the competitiveness of enterprises and to finally have European management of migration flows, centred on the external dimension and border control.

Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the earthquake in Türkiye
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, is constantly following developments regarding the devastating earthquake that has hit Türkiye, on the border with Syria, and is being kept up to date by the Civil Protection Department. She expresses sympathy and solidarity with the populations affected. The Italian Civil Protection Department has already stated its readiness to contribute to rescue operations.

Attacco informatico, la nota di Palazzo Chigi
Il Governo segue con attenzione, aggiornato dall'Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale, ACN, gli sviluppi dell'attacco culminato oggi tramite un ransomware già in circolazione nei server VMware ESXi. Domani mattina alle 9 il sottosegretario Alfredo Mantovano, autorità delegata per la cybersicurezza, incontrerà a Palazzo Chigi il direttore di ACN, Roberto Baldoni, e la direttrice del DIS-Dipartimento informazione e sicurezza, Elisabetta Belloni, per fare un primo bilancio dei danni provocati dagli attacchi e per confermare la promozione della adeguata strategia di protezione, peraltro da tempo già in atto.
