We were excited to watch the launch of Artemis 1, the crew-free mission headed for lunar orbit that will open new avenues for space exploration. As President of the Council of Ministers, I am proud of the contribution that Italian ingenuity has made to this feat; the Italian Space Agency and Italian industry have supplied and developed an important part of the technology for the service module that provides mission support. Italy has once again confirmed that it is at the cutting edge in the most technologically developed sectors, playing a leading role in the field of space travel. This mission is also a sign of hope in the ability of nations to cooperate in order to reach and cross new frontiers, together.

Abbiamo assistito con emozione al lancio di Artemis 1, la missione senza equipaggio diretta all’orbita lunare che apre nuove vie all’esplorazione spaziale. Come Presidente del Consiglio, sono orgogliosa del contributo fornito all’impresa dall’ingegno italiano che, grazie all’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana e all’industria nazionale, ha fornito e realizzato parte importante delle tecnologie del modulo di servizio che garantisce il supporto alla missione.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial bilateral meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in the margins of the G20 Summit. President Meloni expressed the Italian Government’s interest in promoting mutual economic interests, also with a view to increasing Italian exports to China. At the same time, President Xi and President Meloni acknowledged the ancient relationship between Italy and China, two age-old civilisations, underlining the success of the Italy-China Year of Culture. President Xi recalled the messages exchanged with President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella on that occasion.

Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto un incontro bilaterale a margine dei lavori del Vertice dei Paesi del G20 con il Presidente della Repubblica Popolare Cinese, Xi Jinping. Un incontro improntato alla cordialità. Meloni ha espresso l’interesse del Governo italiano a promuovere gli interessi economici reciproci, anche nell'ottica di un aumento delle esportazioni italiane in Cina. Allo stesso tempo Xi e Meloni hanno riconosciuto l’antico rapporto tra Italia e Cina, due civiltà millenarie, sottolineando il successo dell’anno della cultura Italia-Cina. Il Presidente Xi ha richiamato i messaggi scambiati con il Presidente Mattarella in tale circostanza.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali. The meeting focused on the strengthening of relations between the two nations in order to make the most of their potential.
