The Italy-Romania Intergovernmental Summit was held at Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome today, with the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, and the Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu. During the summit, the two leaders issued statements to the press.
A joint declaration on the development of the Italian-Romanian consolidated strategic partnership was signed, together with another seven documents, including memoranda of understanding, technical agreements and letters of intent, regarding strategic sectors such as defence, police cooperation, justice, start-ups, cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, cybersecurity, tourism, civil protection and the training of civil servants.
