Joint meeting of institutional working group and coordination committee for the Jubilee 2025

A joint meeting of the institutional working group and the coordination committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held today at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano. At the beginning of the meeting, it was announced that the second DPCM [Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers], including other essential works, had been sent to the Ministry of Economy and Finance and would be ‘bollinato’ [approved by the State General Accounting Department] in the coming days.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Rome and the Government’s Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, went on to illustrate the progress of projects, including: the Piazza Pia underpass, work on which should begin in July; the redevelopment of Piazza dei Cinquecento and the Roma San Pietro train station; enhancement of ‘pilgrim paths’; and, the restoration of the ‘Le Vele’ site in the Tor Vergata area of the city, for which the ‘Conferenza dei servizi’ [interdepartmental conference] is underway.
Among others, the meeting was attended by: Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano; Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè; Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Economy and Finance Lucia Albano; President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca; Prefect of Rome Lamberto Giannini; Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella; Head of the Civil Protection Department Fabrizio Curcio; President of the Chamber of Deputies Culture Commission Federico Mollicone; and, Vice-President of the Senate Maria Domenica Castellone.
