The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a long meeting today with the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in the margins of the informal European Council meeting in Granada.
The two Heads of Government discussed the main European issues that were the focus of the Council meeting, with particular regard to migration, expressing satisfaction with the agreement reached in Brussels on the ‘crisis and force majeure’ regulation. The two leaders noted the excellent level of cooperation between Rome and Berlin and agreed to meet at the Italy-Germany intergovernmental summit, to be held in Germany at the end of November.
