The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, chaired a meeting at Palazzo Chigi today, attended by Vice-President and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, Vice-President and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, Minister for Institutional Reforms and Regulatory Simplification Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani, Undersecretaries of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano and Giovanbattista Fazzolari, Honourable MP Lorenzo Cesa from ‘Unione di Centro’ and Honourable MP Maurizio Lupi, President of ‘Noi Moderati’.
During the meeting, there was full agreement on the constitutional reform plan that provides for the President of the Council of Ministers to be directly elected. The text of the draft law will be examined by the Council of Ministers meeting scheduled for Friday 3 November.
