Meeting with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives

President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni met today with a delegation of representatives of both political parties from the United States House of Representatives, led by Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

President Meloni stressed the importance of the role played by the parliaments in our nations. The meeting focused on the strategic bilateral partnership and major international issues, starting with Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and stability in the wider Mediterranean. The firm common commitment was shared to promote peace and stability in all the now interconnected crisis theatres, investing in close coordination between allies and partners, particularly within the G7, NATO and EU.
