NRRP steering committee meeting on university housing: confirmation of revision proposal already sent to the European Commission to meet target

A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held at Palazzo Chigi today, chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto. The meeting, which was also attended by Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini and Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Economy and Finance Sandra Savino, confirmed the revision proposals that have already been sent to the European Commission, aimed at identifying implementation solutions to ensure the final target for university housing is reached.

The steering committee meeting followed on from and provided an update to the work carried out at the meeting held on 20 September, defining the procedures to implement the planned actions and to ensure the final target is reported on properly, as highlighted during the meetings of the technical working group for measure M4C1-28, coordinated by the Ministry of University and Research. 

“Also today’s meeting of the steering committee, which is an increasingly key and strategic tool for monitoring and implementing the NRRP,” stated Minister Raffaele Fitto, “confirms the Government’s scrupulous attention to achieving the objectives, one of which is to boost investment in important services dedicated to students, working constructively and synergistically with European Commission services”.
