President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni delivered a speech today at the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Earlier, in the margins of the General Assembly, President Meloni met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and the President of Malawi, Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera.
President Meloni went on to have a cordial meeting with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, dedicated to the preparations for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Games.
Later in the afternoon, at a wreath-laying ceremony at Columbus Circle, she addressed journalists at a press point.
