President Meloni in India for the G20 Summit

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended the second day of the G20 Summit of Heads of State and Government in New Delhi today, after which she held a press conference.

This morning, before attending the third and final working session, the leaders paid tribute at the Raj Ghat memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. 

Yesterday, after attending the first plenary session, President Meloni took part in the meeting between European Union countries and African Union countries and, later, in the second plenary session. She then addressed the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment and India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor event and the launch of the Global Biofuels Alliance.

In the margins of the Summit, President Meloni had bilateral meetings: today, with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and with the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol; yesterday, with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Li Qiang, and with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi; and, on Friday, with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak.
