The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with representatives of the Business7 group, the forum for dialogue between the G7 and the private business sector, coordinated this year by Confindustria.
During the meeting, President Meloni outlined the priorities of the Apulia Summit to be held on 13-15 June, focusing in particular on the Italian G7 Presidency’s commitment to foster investment, economic relations and free and fair trade within a framework of internationally agreed rules.
At the end of the event, the current Chair of the Business7, Emma Marcegaglia, presented the President of the Council of Ministers with the business community’s proposals regarding the main challenges on the global agenda.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the business associations of the G7 nations: the Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Mouvement des Entreprises de France; U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Confederation of British Industry; Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (Germany); Keidanren (Japan); and, Business Europe.
