President Meloni meets with the President of the European Council

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, at Palazzo Chigi today, ahead of the special meeting of the European Council to be held in Brussels on 9 and 10 February.
“I wish to thank President Michel, as his presence here today shows his attention to Italy’s position in preparation for the European Council meeting. Discussions will focus on a number of challenges which we consider to be crucial, for the whole of Europe: the economic issue and the migration issue” - President Meloni during the joint press statements following the meeting.
