President Meloni meets with Prime Minister Modi of India at the G20 Summit

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali. The meeting focused on the strengthening of relations between the two nations in order to make the most of their potential.

The two Heads of Government also exchanged views on the stability of the Indo-Pacific and on Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and its repercussions, with particular regard to food and energy security.

President Meloni assured Prime Minister Modi of Italy’s full cooperation in the context of India’s upcoming G20 Presidency, also in light of the scale of the common challenges.
