President Meloni meets with Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada at the G20 Summit

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali.

The meeting focused on the latest events in Poland related to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, on transatlantic relations and on the close cooperation within NATO, the G7 and the G20. Common support for Ukraine was confirmed, as was the commitment regarding climate transition, economic recovery and the strengthening of women’s role in society.

President Meloni underscored the importance of trade relations with Canada, developed within the framework of the strategic partnership agreement.
