President Meloni visits Italian Air Force Museum in Vigna di Valle
16 January 2024
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, visited the Italian Air Force Museum in Vigna di Valle this morning, together with the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto. President Meloni and Minister Crosetto were welcomed to the recently renovated museum, which reopened in June last year, by the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, Lt. Gen. Luca Goretti.
The museum is the place where aviation began in Italy. In the 1960s, the base underwent redevelopment and was turned into a sports centre and centre for the collection of historical aircraft, officially becoming a historical museum in 1977.
The museum has the task of disseminating aviation culture as well as the history and traditions of the Air Force and how it has evolved over time.
