Rai began broadcasting seventy years ago and, from that moment on, it has never ceased to accompany the collective process of cultural, social and civil growth and change. I would like to take the opportunity of this important anniversary to thank Rai for its work in telling our nation’s story. Today, despite operating in a highly diversified market, public service broadcasting and multimedia remains a guarantee of pluralism and democracy, and is still based on the mission from seventy years ago.
