New NRRP steering committee meeting held at Palazzo Chigi. Minister Fitto: fruitful dialogue, we are working on the Plan’s overall definition
A fruitful first day of discussions was held today with employers’ associations, who were invited to a National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) steering committee meeting at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP Raffaele Fitto. The discussions were divided into sector-specific sessions, with the first being attended by representatives of Confindustria, Ance, Confedilizia, Abi and Ania; the second by representatives of Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, Cia, Unsic and Copagri; and, the third by representatives of Federterziario, Confetra, Confeservizi, Confprofessioni and Assoprofessioni.

Approvato emendamento governo su amministrazione straordinaria grandi imprese di interesse strategico nazionale
È stato approvato oggi dalla 4° Commissione “Politiche dell’Unione europea” del Senato, in sede di conversione del decreto – legge n. 69 del 2023 (c.d. decreto – legge salva infrazioni), un emendamento del Governo in materia di amministrazione straordinaria delle grandi imprese, che riguarda stabilimenti industriali, o parti di essi, dichiarati di interesse strategico nazionale.

PNRR, convocata il 18 e 19 luglio la Cabina di regia
La Cabina di Regia PNRR presieduta dal Ministro per gli affari europei, il Sud, le politiche di coesione e il PNRR, Raffaele Fitto, torna a riunirsi con la partecipazione delle organizzazioni rappresentative di lavoratori e imprese, nel quadro di specifiche sessioni organizzate su base settoriale e dedicate all’esame delle più recenti evoluzioni del PNRR.

President Meloni, President von der Leyen and Prime Minister Rutte in Tunisia
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, together with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, met with the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, in Tunis today. During the meeting, the EU-Tunisia Memorandum of Understanding was signed and, afterwards, the leaders issued joint statements to the press.

Launch of the Rome-Pompei Frecciarossa rail link and visit to the archaeological site
President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, together with Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, participated in this morning’s maiden journey of the Rome-Pompei Frecciarossa, the new direct rail link created thanks to the collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane [Italian state railway company]. After arriving in Pompei, they visited the archaeological site.

President Meloni addressed journalists both upon her arrival in Pompei and following the visit to the archaeological site.
