President Meloni at the 78th UN General Assembly

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, in New York for the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
Yesterday, in the margins of the General Assembly, President Meloni had bilateral meetings with the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, the President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Later in the afternoon, she laid a wreath at the Christopher Columbus monument at Columbus Circle.
Today, President Meloni met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and later had meetings with the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the President of Malawi, Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera.
