President Meloni visits Ethiopia

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, visited the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April 2023. Upon her arrival at the airport, she was welcomed by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. On Friday, President Meloni met with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, with the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, and with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. Today, institutional meetings were held with the Ethiopian Prime Minister and with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Before returning to Italy, President Meloni visited the Italian School of Addis Ababa and addressed journalists at a doorstep.
