Italy and Algeria sign agreement on high-tech regenerative agriculture
As part of the Mattei Plan for Africa and following President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni’s bilateral meeting with the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the margins of the G7 Summit in Puglia, an agreement on high-tech regenerative agriculture was signed in Algiers today, in the presence of the respective Agriculture Ministers, Francesco Lollobrigida and Youcef Cherfa.

A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held this afternoon, called and chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto, and attended by Minister of Labour and Social Policies Marina Calderone, Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of the Interior Emanuele Prisco, President of ANCI [National Association of Italian Municipalities] Antonio Decaro and the Special commissioner for work to overcome illegal settlements and fight labour exploitation in agriculture, Maurizio Falco.

NRRP steering committee meeting on progress of university housing measures
A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held early this afternoon, called and chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto. The purpose of the meeting, attended by Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti and Special commissioner for university housing Manuela Manenti, was to verify the implementation status of measures regarding university housing.

NRRP steering committee meeting of 3 July
A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held at Palazzo Chigi this afternoon, called and chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto. The purpose of the meeting, attended by the Ministers and Undersecretaries involved as well as by representatives from ANCI [National Association of Italian Municipalities], UPI [Union of Italian Provinces] and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, was to monitor and verify progress of the 69 milestones and targets for the seventh instalment of the NRRP, worth EUR 18.2 billion, and to coordinate activities regarding compliance with the obligations provided for by Article 2(1) of the NRRP decree-law, related to monitoring, reporting and verification data for NRRP measures being updated on the ‘ReGiS’ IT platform.

Payment request for sixth NRRP instalment sent to European Commission
Italy sent the payment request for the sixth instalment of its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), equal to EUR 8.5 billion, to the European Commission earlier today. The formal request was submitted following the steering committee meeting held on 24 June, chaired by President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, which checked that the 37 milestones and targets required had been met.
