President Meloni meets Ronald Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met this morning with the president of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder, at Palazzo Chigi. The meeting was also attended by the president of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities (‘UCEI’), Noemi Di Segni, and the president of the Jewish Community of Rome, Ruth Dureghello. There was full agreement on the need for a strong and more effective common commitment to fight all forms of anti-Semitism, which is worryingly on the rise also through the internet and social networks. President Meloni also underlined the essential importance of Jewish communities for Italian and European identity.

President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni’s introductory address at today’s event ‘Non più sole - La drammatica attualità della violenza contro le donne’ [‘Alone no more – The dramatically topical issue of violence against women’]. Statement by President Giorgia Meloni on the Artemis 1 launch
We were excited to watch the launch of Artemis 1, the crew-free mission headed for lunar orbit that will open new avenues for space exploration. As President of the Council of Ministers, I am proud of the contribution that Italian ingenuity has made to this feat; the Italian Space Agency and Italian industry have supplied and developed an important part of the technology for the service module that provides mission support. Italy has once again confirmed that it is at the cutting edge in the most technologically developed sectors, playing a leading role in the field of space travel. President Meloni meets with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial bilateral meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in the margins of the G20 Summit. President Meloni expressed the Italian Government’s interest in promoting mutual economic interests, also with a view to increasing Italian exports to China. At the same time, President Xi and President Meloni acknowledged the ancient relationship between Italy and China, two age-old civilisations, underlining the success of the Italy-China Year of Culture. President Xi recalled the messages exchanged with President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella on that occasion.
