Meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, in the margins of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana.
President Meloni and Prime Minister Rama confirmed the important cooperation between Italy and Albania in all fields and President Meloni confirmed the Italian Government’s support for Albania’s EU path.

Meeting with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, in the margins of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana.
President Meloni and President Vucic agreed to further strengthen cooperation between Rome and Belgrade and President Meloni confirmed the Italian Government’s support for Serbia’s EU path. The two leaders also exchanged views on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Meeting with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in the margins of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana.
The meeting followed the telephone conversation between President Meloni and Chancellor Scholz on 28 October and their meeting at the COP 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh on 7 November. The two leaders discussed the main European issues, with particular reference to energy.

President Meloni addresses ‘Italy of Regions’ event
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, addressed the ‘L’Italia delle Regioni’ [‘Italy of Regions’] event via video link this morning, the first festival organised by regional authorities and autonomous provinces to promote the richness of Italy’s local areas. Today’s event is being held at Palazzo Lombardia in Milan.

President Meloni meets with King Abdullah II of Jordan
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a very cordial meeting today with His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, at Palazzo Chigi. During the lunch, attended also by Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto, matters on the bilateral agenda were discussed, with particular reference to cooperation in the fields of security and defence.

Il Presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni ha avuto oggi a Palazzo Chigi un incontro molto cordiale con Sua Maestà Abdallah II Ibn Al Hussein, Re di Giordania. Nel corso del pranzo, a cui hanno preso parte anche il Vice Presidente e Ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani e il Ministro della Difesa Guido Crosetto, sono stati approfonditi i temi dell’agenda bilaterale con particolare riferimento alla collaborazione nei settori della sicurezza e della difesa.

Il Presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni ha incontrato questo pomeriggio, a margine della Conferenza Med Dialogues, il Presidente della Repubblica del Niger, Mohamed Bazoum.
Al centro del lungo e cordiale colloquio la perdurante situazione di instabilità del Sahel e il ruolo centrale del Niger nel contrasto alla minaccia terroristica e nella gestione dei flussi migratori irregolari verso la rotta del Mediterraneo centrale.

President Meloni meets with President Bazoum of the Republic of Niger
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met this afternoon with the President of the Republic of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, in the margins of the MED Dialogues conference.
The long and cordial meeting focused on the continuing instability in the Sahel region and Niger’s central role in countering the threat of terrorism and managing irregular migration flows towards the central Mediterranean route.

President Meloni at Rome MED 2022
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, delivered a speech at the closing session of the eighth edition of the ‘Rome MED - Mediterranean Dialogues’ conference. She then had bilateral meetings with the President of the Republic of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Libya, Najla El Mangoush.
