Cabina di regia PNRR, nuova programmazione delle sessioni settoriali
In considerazione della celebrazione nella mattina del 26 settembre 2023 delle esequie di Stato civili con commemorazione del Presidente emerito della Repubblica, senatore Giorgio Napolitano, le sessioni settoriali della Cabina di Regia PNRR destinate al confronto con le organizzazioni rappresentative del partenariato economico e sociale previste per la stessa giornata, saranno oggetto di nuova programmazione secondo il calendario riportato, con la conferma degli incontri già previsti nell’orario pomeridiano.

NRRP steering committee meeting held at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by President Meloni
A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held at Palazzo Chigi this afternoon. The meeting, called by Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP Raffaele Fitto, was chaired by President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni and was also attended by Government Ministers and representatives of regional, provincial and municipal authorities. During the meeting, the progress of NRRP implementation was reviewed and an update was provided on the payment of the third instalment, amounting to EUR 18.5 billion, which should arrive in the coming days. There was also an update on the payment request for the fourth instalment, amounting to EUR 16.5 billion, which the Government sent to the European Commission on 22 September, and regarding an initial analysis of the milestones and targets to be met for the fifth instalment, also based on the proposed revision of the Plan.

Dichiarazione del Presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni
Accolgo con grande interesse la proposta di collaborazione del Presidente francese Emmanuel Macron in tema di contrasto all’immigrazione illegale. È evidente che Italia, Francia e Ue debbano agire insieme per sostenere gli Stati di origine dei migranti e per aiutare gli Stati di transito a smantellare le reti criminali di trafficanti di esseri umani. È la direzione che il governo italiano ha già intrapreso e che vuole perseguire insieme alle istituzioni europee e ai propri alleati europei.

Statement by President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni
I welcome with great interest French President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal for cooperation on the fight against illegal immigration. It is clear that Italy, France and the EU must act together to support migrants’ states of origin and to help states of transit dismantle criminal networks of human traffickers. This is the direction the Italian Government has already taken and wants to pursue together with European institutions and its European allies.

Camera ardente ed esequie di Stato del Presidente emerito Napolitano
La Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri comunica che la camera ardente del Presidente emerito della Repubblica, senatore Giorgio Napolitano, sarà allestita presso la Sala Caduti di Nassirya del Senato della Repubblica – Palazzo Madama, e rispetterà i seguenti orari di apertura: domenica 24 settembre, dalle ore 11:00 alle ore 19:00; lunedì 25 settembre, dalle ore 10:00 alle ore 16:00.
Le esequie di Stato civili con commemorazione martedì 26 settembre, alle ore 11:30, nell’Aula della Camera dei Deputati – Palazzo Montecitorio. La cerimonia sarà trasmessa in diretta televisiva su Rai 1 e su maxi-schermi appositamente predisposti in Piazza del Parlamento.

Italy’s strategic commitment to partnership with African nations characterised President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni’s participation at the United Nations General Assembly. During her speech at the General Assembly, President Meloni underlined that Italy is paying particular attention to Africa, stating that this will also be the focus of the Italian G7 Presidency in 2024, with the aim of establishing equal partnerships and supporting the continent’s growth.

Il Sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio, Alfredo Mantovano, ha incontrato questo pomeriggio, a Palazzo Chigi, il Vice Premier cinese Chen Wenqing, membro del Politburo del Pcc e Segretario della Commissione Centrale per gli Affari politici e della Sicurezza. Al centro del colloquio il conflitto in Ucraina, la situazione in Africa, soprattutto in relazione ai problemi dei flussi migratori, e la lotta al terrorismo internazionale.

Undersecretary of State Alfredo Mantovano meets with Chen Wenqing
Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano met at Palazzo Chigi this afternoon with Chinese Vice Premier Chen Wenqing, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC and Secretary of the Central Commission for Political Affairs and Security.
The meeting focused on the conflict in Ukraine, the situation in Africa, with particular regard to the problem of migration flows, and the fight against international terrorism.
