Minister Fitto: NRRP objectives for 31 December 2022 met
“The 55 objectives set by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (‘NRRP’) for the second half of 2022 have been met. This is the result of significant teamwork, also based on constructive political dialogue with the European Commission which, among other things, has allowed a number of critical issues to be overcome regarding the achievement of some objectives. Restoring the central role of the Steering Committee, which provides impetus and coordination, was crucial to achieve this result; this was something that President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni wanted, and I wish to thank her. My thanks also go to all Ministers, Regions and local authorities for their cooperation and I hope the same synergy will support fulfilment of the next objectives. In this regard, we will be sending the six-monthly NRRP progress report to Parliament in January, as required by regulations”, stated the Minister for European Affairs, Southern Italy, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto, in relation to the NRRP objectives for 31 December being met.

Il Presidente Meloni presiede la riunione del CIPESS
Si è riunito oggi a Palazzo Chigi il Comitato interministeriale per la programmazione economica e lo sviluppo sostenibile (CIPESS), presieduto dal Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, con la presenza del Segretario del CIPESS, Sottosegretario Alessandro Morelli. Il CIPESS ha approvato una serie di provvedimenti in materia di infrastrutture, coesione territoriale, ricostruzione post sisma, salute, agricoltura, ambiente, internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane, attività produttive.

Phone call between President Meloni and President Zelensky of Ukraine
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The cordial conversation followed the telephone call between President Meloni and President Zelensky on 28 October.
President Meloni renewed the Italian Government’s full support for Kyiv in political, military, economic and humanitarian terms and with regard to restoring energy infrastructure and the future reconstruction of Ukraine.
President Meloni reiterated Italy’s utmost commitment to all actions to help achieve a just peace for the Ukrainian nation. The President of the Council of Ministers also confirmed her intention to travel to Kyiv and invited President Zelensky to visit Rome.

ESEQUIE DI STATO
Il Consiglio dei Ministri, su proposta del Presidente Giorgia Meloni, ha deliberato la celebrazione dei funerali del Presidente del Consiglio di Stato, Franco Frattini, scomparso lo scorso 24 dicembre, nella forma delle esequie di Stato, ai sensi dell’articolo 2 della legge 7 febbraio 1987, n. 36.

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers expresses satisfaction that, on this Christmas Eve, the businessman Andrea Costantino has returned to Italy and is once again able to embrace his loved ones. Special thanks go to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the foreign ministry network, the intelligence and security services and the Emirati authorities for the successful outcome of this case.
