G7 Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment Side Event Co-Chair Statement
The President of the Council of Ministers of Italy and G7 President, Giorgia Meloni, and the President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, met with the other Leaders of the G7 and Italian and U.S. private sector representing the financial, energy and digital/technology sectors on the sidelines of the 2024 G7 Leaders’ Summit on June 13th, in Borgo Egnazia, Italy.

The Summit of the G7 Heads of State and Government chaired by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, got underway today at Borgo Egnazia, in Italy’s Apulia Region.

First day of the G7 Summit
The Summit of the G7 Heads of State and Government chaired by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, got underway today at Borgo Egnazia, in Italy’s Apulia Region. On the first day of the Summit, the working sessions ‘Africa, Climate Change and Development’, ‘Middle East’ and ‘Ukraine’ were held. The working session on Ukraine was also attended by President Zelensky. A side event on the G7 Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) was held later in the afternoon, followed by a flag ceremony and closing press statement by President Meloni. In the evening, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, received the G7 Leaders at the Swabian Castle of Brindisi for an official dinner.

Vertice G7, la prima giornata
Si è aperto oggi a Borgo Egnazia (BR) il Vertice dei Capi di Stato e di Governo dei Paesi G7 presieduto dal Presidente Meloni. Nel corso della prima giornata si sono tenute le sessioni di lavoro "Africa, cambiamento climatico e sviluppo", "Medio Oriente" e "Ucraina", a cui ha preso parte il Presidente Zelensky. I lavori si sono conclusi con il Side event on the G7 PGII e, a seguire, la cerimonia delle bandiere e le dichiarazioni alla stampa del Presidente Meloni. In serata, il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, ha ricevuto i Leader G7 al Castello Svevo di Brindisi per la cena ufficiale.

L'arrivo in Italia dei bambini haitiani adottati
L'arrivo all'aeroporto militare di Ciampino dei dieci bambini di Haiti adottati da famiglie italiane. Ad accoglierli, oltre alle loro famiglie di adozione, la Ministra per la famiglia, la natalità e le pari opportunità, Eugenia Roccella.

Arrival of ten adopted children from Haiti in Italy
Ten children from Haiti who have been adopted by Italian families arrived at the military airport of Ciampino (Rome) today. In addition to their adoptive families, the children were welcomed to Italy by the Minister for the Family, Birth Rate and Equal Opportunities, Eugenia Roccella.

Ten adopted children from Haiti arrive in Italy
The Italian Government has taken action to bring ten children from Haiti to Italy. The children have been adopted by Italian families but for security reasons linked to the serious ongoing situation in the Caribbean nation, marred by devastating criminality, they had been unable to leave their places of residence until now (nine were living in the capital Port-au-Prince and one in a small town approximately 200 km away).
