A margine della settimana di alto di livello dalla 79ª Assemblea Generale della Nazioni Unite, il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha tenuto oggi una serie di incontri con esponenti del settore dell’innovazione e in particolare con gli Amministratori Delegati del gruppo Google-Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, di Motorola, Greg Brown, e di Open AI, Sam Altman.

Incidente a Saviano, la nota di Palazzo Chigi
Il Presidente Giorgia Meloni ha avuto dagli Stati Uniti alcuni colloqui telefonici con il Sindaco di Saviano Simonelli, il Sindaco metropolitano di Napoli Manfredi, il Ministro Musumeci e il Capo del Dipartimento della protezione civile Ciciliano. Il Presidente Meloni ha espresso al Sindaco Simonelli e, per il suo tramite, ai parenti delle vittime e alle altre famiglie coinvolte, il proprio cordoglio e quello del Governo per il tragico incidente accaduto questa mattina, ha assicurato la vicinanza delle istituzioni nazionali alle amministrazioni locali e ha ringraziato i soccorritori.

Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the incident in Saviano
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, has had a number of telephone conversations from the United States with the Mayor of Saviano, Vincenzo Simonelli, the Metropolitan Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, the Minister for Civil Protection and Marine Policies, Nello Musumeci, and the Head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabio Ciciliano. Following this morning’s tragic incident, President Meloni expressed her and the Government’s condolences to Mayor Simonelli and, through him, to the victims’ relatives and the other families involved. She also provided assurance of national institutions’ support for the local authorities and thanked the rescue workers.

In the margins of the high-level week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, held a series of meetings today with representatives from the innovation sector, and in particular with the CEO of Google-Alphabet group, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Motorola, Greg Brown, and the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman.
