Dichiarazione del Sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio Alfredo Mantovano
"L’Autorità delegata sui Servizi di informazione e sicurezza conferma piena fiducia al Direttore del DIS, Ambasciatrice Elisabetta Belloni, a fronte delle dichiarazioni rese ieri dal senatore Matteo Renzi. L'Autorità ricorda, inoltre, che l’opposizione al segreto di Stato è stata confermata dal Presidente del Consiglio nel giugno 2022 e che essa è avvenuta nel corso di indagini dell’autorità giudiziaria, in relazione alla sola esigenza di tutelare la funzionalità dei Servizi, e per scongiurare il rischio di violarne la necessaria riservatezza. Il segreto di Stato è stato peraltro a suo tempo comunicato all’ambito istituzionale proprio, costituito dal Copasir, nei termini di legge".

President Meloni’s statement on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
Each year, thousands of people lose their lives, are injured or become disabled as a result of road traffic accidents. On the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, I wish to express my sincere, heartfelt sympathy for the very many families enduring this suffering. As President of the Council of Ministers, I want to guarantee this Government’s commitment to making Italy’s roads safer.

Today is World Children’s Day, celebrating the rights of children and adolescents. We intend to celebrate this extremely important date by confirming the Government’s total commitment to ensuring children and teenagers can enjoy the rights enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which are often denied or not guaranteed as they should be.

Abbiamo assistito con emozione al lancio di Artemis 1, la missione senza equipaggio diretta all’orbita lunare che apre nuove vie all’esplorazione spaziale. Come Presidente del Consiglio, sono orgogliosa del contributo fornito all’impresa dall’ingegno italiano che, grazie all’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana e all’industria nazionale, ha fornito e realizzato parte importante delle tecnologie del modulo di servizio che garantisce il supporto alla missione.

Statement by President Giorgia Meloni on the Artemis 1 launch
We were excited to watch the launch of Artemis 1, the crew-free mission headed for lunar orbit that will open new avenues for space exploration. As President of the Council of Ministers, I am proud of the contribution that Italian ingenuity has made to this feat; the Italian Space Agency and Italian industry have supplied and developed an important part of the technology for the service module that provides mission support. Italy has once again confirmed that it is at the cutting edge in the most technologically developed sectors, playing a leading role in the field of space travel. This mission is also a sign of hope in the ability of nations to cooperate in order to reach and cross new frontiers, together.

President Meloni meets with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial bilateral meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in the margins of the G20 Summit. President Meloni expressed the Italian Government’s interest in promoting mutual economic interests, also with a view to increasing Italian exports to China. At the same time, President Xi and President Meloni acknowledged the ancient relationship between Italy and China, two age-old civilisations, underlining the success of the Italy-China Year of Culture. President Xi recalled the messages exchanged with President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella on that occasion.
