President Meloni at the G20 Summit in Bali

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended the G20 Heads of State and Government Summit, held in Bali on 15 and 16 November. This morning, she also attended the meeting with NATO and European Allies to discuss what happened in Poland.
Following the working sessions, she held a press conference.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali. The meeting focused on the strengthening of relations between the two nations in order to make the most of their potential.

President Meloni meets with Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada at the G20 Summit

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, in the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali. The meeting focused on the latest events in Poland related to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, on transatlantic relations and on the close cooperation within NATO, the G7 and the G20. Common support for Ukraine was confirmed, as was the commitment regarding climate transition, economic recovery and the strengthening of women’s role in society.

Joint statement of NATO and G7 Leaders on the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali

Today, the Leaders of Canada, the European Council, the European Commission, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States met on the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali and released the following statement:

We condemn the barbaric missile attacks that Russia perpetrated on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure on Tuesday.

Poland - statement by Palazzo Chigi

The President of the Council of Ministers expresses great apprehension and concern about what has happened in Poland. She offers solidarity to the Polish government and people. President Meloni, who is in Indonesia for the G20 Summit, is now meeting with NATO and European Allies to verify what happened and to consider the next steps. In any case, this is further confirmation of the seriousness and of the consequences of Russia’s unjustified aggression against Ukraine.
President Giorgia Meloni has spoken with the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, over the telephone.

President Meloni meets with President Biden of the United States at the G20 Summit

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the President of the United States of America, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., in the margins of the G20 Summit. The meeting focused on the solidity of the transatlantic alliance and on the excellent cooperation to address global challenges, from economic growth to common security.

President Meloni meets with President Erdoğan of the Republic of Türkiye

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in the margins of the G20 Summit.
President Meloni expressed sympathy, both personally and on behalf of the Government, to the Turkish people following the cowardly terrorist attack in which innocent civilians lost their lives. The two leaders agreed on the need to continue the common fight against terrorism with determination.
