The European Commission’s announcement on the withdrawal of the legislative proposal on pesticides is also an Italian victory. Ever since coming to office, the Italian Government has, in fact, been working at European level, with a very pragmatic and common-sense approach, to chart a different path from the one that has been followed thus far and combine agricultural production, respect for work and environmental sustainability. The twelfth meeting of the Coordination Committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held today at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano. Attendees included President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca, Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella, Prefect of Rome Lamberto Giannini and President of the Chamber of Deputies Culture Commission Federico Mollicone.
