President Meloni meets with Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Chen Jining, in Shanghai today. The meeting focused on economic and trade relations with the Province of Shanghai, which is home to the largest Italian business community. President Meloni and Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining both expressed the desire to boost cooperation in key sectors such as industry, innovation, tourism and culture. They particularly focused on reciprocal investments being supported and consolidated, starting with small and medium-sized enterprises.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met in Beijing today with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The two leaders discussed the positive development of relations between Italy and China in the context of the 20-year anniversary of the Global Strategic Partnership, stressing the importance of balanced, mutually beneficial cooperation based on reciprocal trust. During the meeting, the main issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed, from matters regarding the economy and trade to collaboration in the fields of science and culture.

Statement by Palazzo Chigi on Growth and Resilience Africa Fund
As announced by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, during the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Puglia, the foundations have been laid today for the launch of a financial instrument called the ‘Growth and Resilience Africa Fund’ (‘GRAf’), dedicated to investments in private sector projects as part of the implementation of the Mattei Plan for Africa, alongside the funds recently established in collaboration with the African Development Bank for the financing to sovereign entities.
