Israel: statement by Palazzo Chigi
The Italian Government is following closely the brutal attack that is unfolding in Israel. It condemns in the strongest terms the terror and violence against innocent civilians that is taking place and supports Israel’s right to defend itself. Terror will never prevail.

Il governo italiano segue da vicino il brutale attacco che si sta svolgendo in Israele. Condanna con la massima fermezza il terrore e la violenza contro civili innocenti in corso e sostiene il diritto di Israele a difendersi. Il terrore non prevarrà mai.

Meeting with Chancellor Scholz of the Federal Republic of Germany
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a long meeting today with the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in the margins of the informal European Council meeting in Granada.
The two Heads of Government discussed the main European issues that were the focus of the Council meeting, with particular regard to migration, expressing satisfaction with the agreement reached in Brussels on the ‘crisis and force majeure’ regulation. The two leaders noted the excellent level of cooperation between Rome and Berlin and agreed to meet at the Italy-Germany intergovernmental summit, to be held in Germany at the end of November.

Incontro con il Cancelliere federale della Repubblica di Germania Scholz
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto oggi a margine del Consiglio Europeo informale di Granada un lungo incontro con il Cancelliere federale della Repubblica di Germania, Olaf Scholz.
I due Capi di Governo hanno discusso dei principali temi europei al centro del Consiglio, con particolare riguardo alla questione migratoria, esprimendo soddisfazione per l’intesa raggiunta a Bruxelles sul Regolamento “Crisi e forza maggiore”. I due leader, nel constatare l’ottimo livello della cooperazione tra Roma e Berlino, si sono dati appuntamento al Vertice intergovernativo italo-tedesco, che si terrà in Germania a fine novembre.

European Political Community summit and informal European Council meeting
President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni attended the informal meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the European Council in Granada today, after which she held a press point.
Yesterday, President Meloni participated in the third meeting of the European Political Community and, together with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom, she co-chaired a meeting on the fight against human trafficking.

President Meloni meets with Prime Minister Morawiecki of the Republic of Poland
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, ahead of today’s informal meeting of the European Council in Granada.
The two Heads of Government spoke at length about the topics on the agenda, from European support for Ukraine, security and defence issues and the resilience and competitiveness of Europe’s industrial base through to the prospects of the EU’s enlargement process, as well as migration issues.

Meeting with the President of the Swiss Confederation in Granada
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a cordial meeting yesterday with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, in the margins of the summit of the European Political Community.
The two leaders discussed the continuation of the joint renovation work on the Great St. Bernard Tunnel. President Meloni assured President Berset of the Italian Government’s readiness to facilitate Bern’s relations with European institutions on the numerous issues of common interest.

Granada, incontro del Presidente Meloni con il Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Polonia Morawiecki
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha incontrato il Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Polonia, Mateusz Morawiecki in vista dei lavori del Consiglio europeo informale di oggi a Granada. I due Capi di Governo si sono lungamente intrattenuti sui temi in agenda, a partire dal sostegno europeo all’Ucraina, dai temi della sicurezza e difesa, dalla resilienza e competitività della base industriale europea, alle prospettive del processo di allargamento dell’Unione nonché sui temi migratori.

Incontro con il Presidente della Confederazione svizzera a Granada
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto ieri - a margine del Vertice della Comunità politica europea - un incontro cordiale con il Presidente della Confederazione svizzera, Alain Berset.
I due leader hanno discusso del proseguimento dei lavori congiunti per la ristrutturazione del Tunnel del Gran San Bernardo. Il Presidente Meloni ha assicurato la disponibilità del Governo italiano a facilitare le relazioni di Berna con le Istituzioni europee sui numerosi temi di comune interesse.

Riunione della Comunità Politica Europea e Consiglio europeo informale
Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, questa mattina ha partecipato a Granada alla Riunione informale dei Capi di Stato e di Governo del Consiglio europeo. Al termine ha tenuto un punto stampa.
Il 5 ottobre ha preso parte alla terza riunione della Comunità Politica Europea e, insieme al Primo Ministro del Regno Unito, Rishi Sunak, ha presieduto un incontro sulla lotta al traffico di esseri umani.
