The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, attended a ceremony in the ‘Sala delle Donne’ [‘Women’s Hall’] at the Chamber of Deputies this morning. The hall is dedicated to the first women to take their place in the institutions of the Italian Republic. On the eve of International Women’s Rights Day, a picture of President Meloni, the first woman in Italy to hold the position of President of the Council of Ministers, was added to the gallery in the hall.

Yesterday, President Meloni met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and COP28 President-Designate, Sultan Al Jaber. Today, she met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Before returning to Italy, President Meloni addressed journalists at a doorstep.

After visiting the Raj Ghat memorial to Mahatma Gandhi this morning, President Meloni met with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at Hyderabad House, where the two leaders also issued statements to the press. This afternoon, President Meloni met with the President of the Republic of India, Droupadi Murmu, and then went on to deliver a speech at the opening of the Raisina Dialogue conference.
